The club will be taking part in the RSGB VHF/UHF National Field Day this weekend.

Yes, we’ll be off camping in a field near Crich, Derbyshire and hopefully enjoying some good weather too.

The dates for our FD are Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2010.

Members are gearing up for the Contest event and are readying themselves and the equipment.

Loading up:
We will be loading the trailers at the club on Friday evening, So please make an effort to come along as early as possible (after 8pm) to lend a hand lifting the heavy gear like the generator.
Many hands make light work.
As soon as the trailers are readied they will go straight off to the site in readiness for an early start Saturday morning.

Setting Up:
A plea to anyone that can come up to the field day site at Crich early doors on Saturday morning (after 8:30am) to lend a hand setting up the two tents, Tea/coffee etc., antennas and radio equipment. it would be most appreciated.

During the contest the club hopes to work on 6m/4m/2m and 70cm bands.
The club’s call sign G5RR will be used on all the bands of operation. Please listen out for us and give us a call!
