Standby for Moorgreen Country Show – this weekend! 'GB5MCS'
Don’t forget the club will have a show stand at the Moorgreen Country Show this weekend on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st August 2009. Please listen out for us ‘on the air’ with our special event station call sign: GB5MCS. We’ll be QRV on various HF and the 2mtr and 70cm bands and all being well we’ll have a Data station setup too.
A group of club members will be running the stand and the special event station, promoting the club and its activities.
The RSGB will also be in attendance at our stand, with their usual array of information/leaflets and they’ll be helping us to promote our hobby.
Jim Stevenson G0EJQ the East Mids RSGB Regional Manager and his team will all be there to support us both Sunday and Monday.
If you’re in the area of the Watnall showground this coming 'August Bank Holiday weekend', then please pop-along and see us, as the show is a great day out for everyone. Show times are 9am to 5pm each day.
If you’re a HRRARC member and would still like to help us, in an unofficial capacity, then please call over and see us at the show. Extra radio operators and loggers are always useful to have on hand, and you’ll be giving the regular radio ops and helpers a chance to take a 'well earned break!’
